The documentary series Let Science Speak, which premiered in September at the Tribeca TV Festival, features Katharine Hayhoe, a climate scientist who will be speaking at the Goshen College Religion and Science Conference next March.

The six-part series tells the stories that go beyond the “war on science” headlines and seeks to humanize scientists by showing how their work is connected to personal values such as faith, family and civic duty.

Dr. Hayhoe, an evangelical Christian and Director of the Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University, explores the intersection of science and faith in episode three.

The series is available via YouTube and at www.letsciencespeak.com.

Organizers highlighted the fact that the premiere coincided with the first anniversary of Hurricane Maria’s landfall in Puerto Rico. They hope the series highlights what is at risk for our health, homes and planet when science is under attack.
